Several years ago (at least 15, maybe more) I
obtained a small tree made of wooden dowels on which I displayed my thimble
ornaments at Christmas.After the
holiday, I decided I would leave the little tree up and redecorate it for
Valentine for the grandchildren.It
remained up from that time forward and is redecorated for each holiday of the
year, using a combination of thimbles and ornaments of the season.Although some of the grandchildren are now teenagers and have found other interests, the
younger ones still love it when its time to "decorate the thimble
tree."
