The acquisition of a pet donkey in 2006 led to the start of a new subcategory in my collection -- "Donkey Thimbles and Sewing Tools."
My PowerPoint program on the subject has been presented at several meetings of thimble collectors via the Thimbles On Wheelsgroup. The program is a humerous look at my collection of donkey items, i.e. my "other herd" and has been well received.
